NADRA has advised citizens to submit their CNIC renewal applications directly through the official Pak ID mobile application to receive updated ID cards at home.
The authority warned the public about a fake website pretending to provide NADRA services, calling it a fraudulent platform. According to NADRA, the fake website, operating under the name “NADRA Card Centre,” has no connection with the authority and is deceiving overseas Pakistanis through scams. The authority urged citizens not to use third-party agents or service providers for identity-related services to avoid falling victim to fraud.
The warning emphasizes that individuals should only use the Pak ID mobile app for CNIC applications, renewals, and tracking to ensure secure and verified services. NADRA stressed that engaging with unauthorized websites could lead to financial loss or misuse of personal information.
Additionally, NADRA has submitted a formal complaint to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency to investigate the fraudulent website and take necessary legal action. The authority highlighted the importance of using official channels to protect personal data and avoid cybercrime threats.
This advisory aims to safeguard both residents and overseas Pakistanis from fraudulent activities while providing a convenient way to update identification cards. NADRA officials reminded the public that the Pak ID mobile application is the safest and most reliable method to access all identity services without involving middlemen.
