Forbes recognizes Suthra Punjab as global waste management model

The American magazine Forbes has praised the Punjab government’s ‘Suthra Punjab’ (Clean Punjab) program.

The Suthra Punjab program has emerged as the world’s largest integrated waste management system, providing an effective solution to Punjab’s waste problems in just eight months. The initiative collects 50000 tons of waste daily, cleans streets across the province, and has significantly reduced pollution.

Moreover, the program has created over 100,000 jobs and ensured regular waste collection services for millions of residents for the first time.
