Lahore – The DG I&P has launched a new initiative for issuance of e-passports to citizens across Pakistan. The fee varies from time to time and legion to region. The new e-passport fee in Sindh, Pakistan for December 2023 has also changed.
The e-passport is the latest and most secure travel document issued by DG I&P. It has a chip embedded into it. The chip contains the biometric information of the holder and all of the details required. This chip can be used to verify the user’s identity. The carrier of the passport will have all of their identification, parental, residence, and biometric information stored inside the chip which makes it much easier to verify than conventional methods. This means that this is a chip-based electronic passport and can be read via a system as well.
