The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has set the prices for imported RLNG for the month of November.
The authority said the rate adjustment reflects global market trends and changes in international LNG prices. For Sui Northern consumers, RLNG has gone up by 16 cents, bringing the November price to 12.39 dollars per MMBTU. In comparison, the price in October stood at 12.23 dollars per MMBTU, showing a steady month-to-month rise.
Similarly, OGRA announced a price increase for Sui Southern as well. The rate of imported LNG for November has been fixed at 11.45 dollars per MMBTU after an increase of 22 cents. The October price for this category was 11.23 dollars per MMBTU. Although the rise is not very large, it still adds pressure on consumers who are already facing the effects of inflation and rising living costs. The authority explained that these adjustments are made according to international supply and demand conditions, which directly influence Pakistan’s LNG pricing.
Moreover, OGRA clarified that the revised prices are applied after reviewing freight charges, port costs, global LNG benchmarks, and other relevant factors. The regulator added that price updates are essential to maintaining a balanced supply chain and ensuring uninterrupted gas availability for industries, power plants, and domestic users.
At the same time, officials noted that the LNG market remains unstable worldwide, and fluctuations are expected in the coming months. They stressed that Pakistan continues to rely heavily on imported LNG, making local prices sensitive to global changes. As a result, OGRA will keep monitoring international trends and issue updated prices every month to ensure transparency and predictability for consumers.
