Pakistan can still reach the semi-finals as per calculations

Pakistan has hit a rough patch in this world cup. The team had an amazing start as they won two consecutive games but it all came to an ending after losing 4 consecutive matches. The chances of semi finals became thin but Pakistan has shown resilience in its last 2 matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand as they won them. However, the chances of semi-finals are still slim but the dream is still alive. Pakistan can still reach the semi-finals as per our calculations but the team desperately needs some divine help.

How can Pakistan qualify for semifinals

The time has come when once again the Pakistani team is praying for a miracle. The 1992 world cup winning side needs desperate divine help as they’re all set to face England in their next match. Currently the top ranking teams in CWC 23 are India and South Africa. The fight for the 4th position is on as New Zealand ends up with 10 points and Pakistan stands behind at 5th place with 8 points. New Zealand have an impressive run-rate, something that Pakistan lacks. The fate of the Pakistani team rests on the Pakistan vs England clash as they need to win from England with an overwhelming margin.

Scenario for Pakistan to qualify

Pakistan will need to win this match with an unimaginable margin from England to boost their net run-rate ahead of New Zealand to qualify for the semifinals of the Cricket World cup 2023. Here’s what Pakistan needs to do:

  1. If Pakistan bat first, the team will need to score 300 runs and bowl the entire England team out at 13 runs.
  1. If they bowl first and the England team is bowled out at 50 runs, Pakistan will need to chase down the 50 run target in 2 and a half overs.

How Pakistan can still qualify for semifinals of World cup

The team needs to perform like they’ve never performed before. There is another scenario for this as well. Pakistan will need to display monstrous batting, bowling and fielding at this match. It could very well be their last match in this cricket world cup as the top 3 positions have been kept and the fight for the 4th position is on.

Qualification scenario for Pakistan:

Score 300, restrict England to 13.

Score 400, restrict England to 112.

Score 450, restrict England to 162.

Score 500, restrict England at 211. pic.twitter.com/dv6GFKbyf0

Pakistan’s performance has not been very glittering in this world-cup as the players were not experienced. Young players performed well and the Captain Babar Azam has gotten some hate during this world cup as the pressure was unimaginable on the skipper. Shaheed Shah Afridi has also performed exceptionally well but at the same time, he has bowled the most expensive bowling spell in the world cup where he gave 90 runs in 10 overs for no wickets taken. However, the hopes of Pakistani citizens rest on the team’s shoulders as they can still qualify for the semifinals of the Cricket World Cup 2023.
