Pakistan’s ex-Chief Justice Saqib Nisar targeted by Grenade Attack at home leaving 2 Security personnel injured

LAHORE – In a first of its kind Grenade attack aimed for ex-Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar at his home injures 2 security personnel after a Grenade was launched into his Home.

Terrorism in Pakistan is on the rise again after several operations against the TTP and the unrest amongst the Afghan refugees. 

In a dangerous incident, unknown assailants launched a Grenade into the home of Pakistan’s ex-Chief Justice Saqib Nisar. At that time, Saqib Nisar was at home.

The Grenade landed into the car porch of the residence and exploded seconds later injuring two security personnel on duty at his house. 

Minutes after the explosion was heard, authorities rushed to the residence of ex-CJP. Thankfully, no member of his family was hurt during the incident.

Investigation is underway and no assailant has been detained as of yet. Unfortunately, the residence of Saqib Nisar did not have any security cameras due to which no security footage could be captured from his home.

Saqib Nisar served as the CJP for almost two years from January 2017 to January 2019. He was appointed on December 31st, 2016. Saqib Nisar is 69 years now and fortunately his family was inside due to which they remain unharmed.
