KARACHI – With the sky high inflation rate, it doesn’t seem certain if petrol prices will drop for the next Fortnight from January 1, 2024 or not.
The Interim government has already reduced the petrol prices for the last Fortnight and some sources suggested that prices are expected to reduce from January onwards.
However, according to reports, it is not certain as of yet if they are scheduled to go down or not.
Sources suggest that petrol prices are expected to stay the same for the next fortnight.
According to sources, the price of petrol has no further room for reduction while the price of diesel is expected to go up by Rs 1.50 or Rs 2.
Latest Petrol Price in Pakistan
Currently, petrol prices in Pakistan are as below.
Petrol Price: Rs 267.34
Diesel Price: Rs 276.21
The current levy charged on petrol by the Federal Government is Rs 60 per litre, the new prices will be announced by the government on the December 31st, 2023.
