A popular tourist destination in Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan, has been sealed by Assistant Commissioner Shigar, Faisal Hayat, following a reported violation of local regulations.

Authorities have sealed Blind Lake, also known as Jarba Zhou, just days before Eid ul Adha. The action was taken on June 4 after a female tourist reportedly violated site rules by riding a horse near the lake, which is strictly against the standard operating procedures (SOPs). Following this incident, the local administration suspended all tourist activities at the lake until further notice. The Assistant Commissioner stated that rules must be followed at all public places and any violations will be dealt with strictly. The official added that full legal action will be taken to ensure proper implementation of public safety measures.

Blind Lake is a famous tourist spot known for its natural beauty. It attracts a large number of visitors during Eid holidays. The sudden closure has disappointed many travelers who were planning to visit the area during the festive season. Officials have not shared more details yet, and the lake will remain closed until new orders are issued. Visitors and locals are advised to stay updated with further announcements from the district administration.

This move aims to prevent further rule-breaking and ensure safety for all tourists, especially during the busy holiday period. Authorities have urged people to respect guidelines when visiting public places to avoid inconvenience for everyone. The closure of such a popular destination highlights the need for responsible tourism and following local rules. Tourists are encouraged to enjoy scenic spots while keeping safety and regulations in mind.
