Punjab implements lockdowns in 10 districts

Due to the ongoing smog crisis, Punjab has implemented lockdown measures in 10 districts. All educational institutions are closed on Friday and Saturday.

All private and government institutions are to be closed on Friday and Saturday in the areas of Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Sahiwal, Sargodha.

Sunday will be a total shutdown as all businesses will be closed on Sunday. Moreover, the markets in all these areas will open at 3 pm and onwards.

On Tuesday, a meeting took place which was headed by CM Punjab on the ongoing smog crisis and the government is thinking about artificial rain as a solution to the ongoing smog crisis in Lahore.

Moreover, the meeting discussed the timings of businesses. All educational institutions are to be closed on Fridays and Saturdays and both these days will be observed as holidays. Markets will only be allowed to open after 3:00 pm, not before that. The gymnasiums and restaurants will follow the same timings.
