December 16 will always be a dark day in the history of Pakistan as it weighs heavy on the hearts of countless mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters with grief.
Flowers that could have blossomed today into greatness were never given a change when terrorists plucked them before they could bloom.
December 16, 2014 was a dark day for Pakistan when the terrorists tried to inflict damage to Pakistan and Pakistan Army by attacking APS Peshawar and shooting innocent children in cold blood.
They ended up killing 149 people with the overwhelming number of children almost 132.
The terrorists of Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) took responsibility for this act as they stated it was retaliation for Operation Zarb e Azam.
A hero was born that day when the principal of APS Peshawar Tahira Qazi shielded her students from the soldiers who mercilessly targeted innocent children.
Shortly after this heinous act, the National Action Plan was born to combat terrorism in Pakistan. It’s been 9 long years, yet the world still remembers it and the wounds are still fresh.
