The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) issued a commemorative coin of Rs75 on Friday to celebrate the country’s recent victory in Marka-e-Haq (the Battle of Truth), a military operation against India that has bolstered national unity and pride.
The coin will be available at all State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) field offices from August 15, 2025. The coin weighs 13.5 grams and is made of 79 percent copper, 20 percent zinc, and 1 percent nickel. It has a diameter of 30 millimeters. On the front side, the design carries a waxing crescent moon and a five-pointed star in a rising position facing northwest. Around the upper edge, the words Islami Jamhuria Pakistan are inscribed in Urdu, while the year 2025 appears at the bottom between two wheat branches. The numeral 75 is placed boldly on one side of the crescent, while Rupia in Urdu is written on the other.
The reverse side highlights the spirit of national defense. The word Marka-e-Haq is engraved in Urdu at the center with the year 2025 inscribed below. Around the upper edge, the slogan Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad is written in Urdu script. The design also includes two fighter jets on the right and left, a naval ship, and a multiple rocket launcher system, symbolizing the strength of the armed forces. According to SBP, the launch of this special coin is a tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of Pakistan’s defense forces. Officials added that the coin also reflects the resolve of the nation to remain united and resilient. By releasing this coin, the government aims to celebrate Independence Day with pride while recognizing those who safeguard the country’s sovereignty.
