Security forces carried out three intelligence-based operations in different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the killing of at least 19 India-backed terrorists, officials reported.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that a major intelligence-based operation was conducted in the Gulonu area of Mohmand district following reports of a presence of militants. During an intense fire exchange, 14 Indian-sponsored Khawarij were killed while troops effective coordinated fire aimed at the Khawarij hideout. Similarly, in another intelligence-driven operation in the Datakhel area of North Waziristan, security forces killed another four terrorists. There was another encounter with troops where one more Khawarij was neutralized in the Bannu district. Therefore, a combined total of 19 terrorists were killed in three separate encounters.
In addition, arms and ammunition were recovered from the dead terrorists. Officials reported that the terrorists were involved in cross-border terrorism and numerous violent acts in the area. Their death is a substantial setback to Indian-backed terrorist networks in Pakistan. Pakistan has sent a clear message that terrorism, whether local or foreign-backed, will never be accepted. By eliminating these militants, security forces have improved regional peace and shown their strong commitment to protecting the nation.
