ISLAMABAD – Heavy rainfall and snowfall has been broadcasted by Met office in Pakistan from January 31 to February 4, 2024. Citizens are advised to stay indoors and to stay warm as the western winds and climatic phenomena are headed to Pakistan.
Flashfloods are expected in areas of Balochistan as heavy rainfall is expected towards that end while heavy snowfall is expected in Mountains and hilly regions.
According to Pakistan’s meteorological department, heavy rains are expected from 31st Jan to 4th Feb in Balochistan’s Awaran, Barkhan, Chagai, Chaman, Dalbandin, Gwadar, Jhal Magsi, Jiwani, Kalat, Kech, Khuzdar, Kharan, Kohlu, Lasbella, Loralai, Mastung, Musakhel, Naseerabad, Nokkundi, Noushki, Ormara, Pishin, Panjgur, Pasni, Quetta, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Sherani, Sibbi, Turbat, Washuk, Zhob, and Ziarat.
Snowfall is also expected from 31st Jan to 4th Feb in areas like Abbottabad, Bannu, Charsadda, Chitral, Dera Ismail Khan, Dir, Haripur, Kohat, Mansehra, Nowshera, Peshawar, Swabi, and Swat
Murree and Nathiya Gali are also expected to be under snowfall from Jan 31 to Feb 4, 2024.
Light rainfall is expected from 31 jan to 4 Feb, 2024 in areas such as Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, and several other pothowar regions.
While other areas like Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Multan, Rahimyar Khan are expected to be hit by rainfal from Feb 2 to Feb 4, 2024.
