Winter Holidays for KP extended, Schools to reopen by January 14, 2024

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) announced Extension of Winter vacations for the schools and colleges. All schools and colleges were notified to be closed till January 13, 2024.

The Education Department of KP issued a notification and informed the schools that come under the jurisdiction that they will remain closed till January 13 due to severe cold and fog conditions.

Fog has been wirsening in KP and the notification further states that the timings for secondary schools have been revised.

The new schedule states that primary and higher secondary schools will have to open on 9:30 am and close by 3:30 pm. Prior to this the schools would open at 8:30 am.

Moreover, for schools and colleges in the Winter Zone, winter vacations are scheduled for a much longer period of time and the schools are scheduled to reopen again on February 29, 2024.
