Amidst the increasing tensions in the region, Pakistan and Iran are set to enhance bilateral trade through the increase in trade volume by almost 10%. This increase could prove beneficial for both Pakistan and Iran as both countries are in need of each other’s resources.
In a statement issued by the Iranian Ambassador, Reza Amiri Moghaddamon on Sunday, he stated that both the countries have a long history of relations and have been brothers for a long time now. However, both countries failed to benefit the most from this brotherhood and that should be changed. He also portrayed that Pakistani Agricultural products are in demand in Iran such as their rice, meat, and textile products as well. Pakistan is also said to benefit from this 10% increase in trade volume as Pakistan is in need of Iran’s Oil and Gas.
Common Interests in the Region
The Iranian Ambassador also stated that Pakistan and Iran share common interests in the region and that both the countries have common enemies as well. He further stated that there might be several forces that try to spoil these relations and create a rift in this brotherhood but they won’t succeed due to the strong leadership and nation from both countries.
Moreover, the Iranian Ambassador also shared some insights regarding the Israel-Palestine issue. He said that the Zionists are attempting to take control of the entire Arabian region one by one. He said that great Iran will never accept the Zionist state Israel and will continue to support Palestine. $1.5 Billion MoU signed by Pakistan and China for Petroleum Sector
