Resignation of Tauqeer Hussain Shah as PM’s Secretary

In recent news, Mr. Tauqeer Hussain Shah has officially resigned as the Prime Minister’s Secretary. Sources suggest that the resignation has been approved by the caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq.

Tauqeer Hussain Shah’s Future

According to sources, Tauqeer Shah has already been appointed as the Chief Executive at the World Bank. He retired last year on 25h December and was on contract for one year as PM’s Secretary. Tauqeer Shah is all set for his new role which is going to start on 1st ov, 2023.

Moreover, the position of PM’s Secretary is now vacant and lobbying has already started for this vacant position. It is rumoured that Secretary Finance, Mr Imaadullah is Basal and Secretary Economic Affairs, Dr. Kazim Niaz alongside Secretary Housing and Works, Dr. Shehzad Khan Bangash are the potential candidates for this position.

The final decision will be taken by the caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq. An approval will be granted for the principal secretary from the current PM.
