The Government of UAE has taken another step and discontinued the three-month visit visas. This means that visitors can no longer avail the three-month visit visa. They will now only be able to avail the 30 days or 60 days visit visa.
There may be several reasons for this discontinuation. According to sources, it may be due to the fact that UAE has recently caught 12,000 fake passports of Pakistani citizens and handed them over to the Embassy. Moreover, this recent stoppage of 3 month visit visas was first observed by the government at the time of the coronavirus Pandemic. However, the idea was not continued by the UAE Government and the issuance of three-month passports began again.
Residents of Dubai still Eligible for 3-Month Visit Visa
Now, the UAE has again stopped the issuance of three-month visit visas. Keeping that in mind, the residents of Dubai are still eligible for this visa. This is a relief for many in Dubai, as they can still call direct relatives for a three-month visit visa rather than a 30 days or 60 days visit visa.
The majority of travel agents have also verified this news and are now updated with the new visa policy by the UAE. They’ve also updated their online portals as such and are also informing the general public of the suspension and unavailability of the three-month visa. The crackdown by the Saudi Govt could be the potential reason for this discontinuation. Read more at “12,000 Fake Pakistani Passports Handed to the Embassy by Saudi Arabia.”
