WhatsApp to stop working on these Devices starting October 24, in Pakistan 2023

WhatsApp is an app used by millions across the globe. With its ease of use and free of cost features, WhatsApp has been the most frequently used networking across the entire world. They release their new update every now and then to tweak its design or fix any bugs. However, in the latest news, WhatsApp has announced that it will stop working on some mobile phones starting 24th of October.

WhatsApp to stop working on several devices in 2023

The popular app has announced on their FAQ page via a note that it will start working for some old mobile phones. In the note, Whatsapp officially announced that starting from 24th October, the popular app will only work on devices having Operating Systems or OS 5.0 or above. Many devices are falling in the red zone that have an Android OS less than 5.0.

Moreover, for iPhone users, there’s also bad news. WhatsApp has stopped working for iOS 10 and iOS 11 as of 24th October. Only newer iOS versions will be compatible with the app. Several other cellphones are falling in this category, let’s look at a few.

Devices WhatsApp is no longer working on in 2023

Below is a short list of devices that are no longer supported by WhatsApp. Keep in mind, there might be more devices that WhatsApp won’t work on as there are numerous others with Android OS less than 5.0.

  • iPhone 5
  • iPhone 5c
  • HTC Desire 500
  • Huawei Ascend D, D1, D2, G570, Mate, and P1
  • LG Optimus F3, F3Q, F5, F6, F7
  • LG Optimus L2, L3, L4, L5, L7
  • Samsung Galaxy Core, Ace 2, S2, S3 Mini
  • Samsung Galaxy xCover 2, Trend Lite
  • Sony Xperia Arc S, Miro, Neo L
