The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the construction of a new KP house in the Haripur district.
The facility is estimated to cost Rs500 million, with Rs250 million allocated in the fiscal year 2025-26 to begin work. According to official documents, the Establishment Department issued the initial notification for the scheme on September 3, 2025. Copies of the directive were also sent to the Chief Engineer East, Secretary Commissioner Hazara Division, and other relevant departments.
As part of the plan, the Deputy Commissioner of Haripur has been instructed to identify suitable land for the project in Makhnial. The land selection process is currently underway, with the assistant commissioner and other officials assisting in the survey. Sources confirm that the project is still in the stage of land identification and paperwork.
Furthermore, the government has directed the Chief Engineer and other technical officers to prepare the design and layout. Once the land is finalized, the project will move to the next phase of appointing a contractor and starting construction work. Officials believe the project will not only expand administrative outreach but also strengthen provincial representation near the federal capital. With funding already allocated, practical work is expected to begin soon after the completion of formal requirements.
