Pakistan Stock Exchange crosses 60,000 points threshold in a first time in history

The Pakistan Stock Exchange broke yet another record by crossing 60,000 points in one day on Tuesday. 28 November, 2023. The market gained an impressive 611 points at 10:00 am on Tuesday to cross the 60,000 threshold.

Due to the understanding with the IMF, experts suggest that this market trend is due to the disciplinary conditions imposed by the government and the crackdown on black market activity.

The KSE-100 threshold closed at 49,493 points which marked as the highest level attained by PSX in the last six years. The lowest weekly stock market was recorded at 47,217.

During this time, almost Rs 1.87 billion stocks were bought and sold while the weekly value stood at almost Rs 55.5 billion.
