Qatar visa center warns public about ongoing scams

Each year, thousands of visa seekers are deceived by fake agents pretending to be official representatives.

Don’t get caught in the trap. If you’re applying for a Qatar work visa, here’s what you need to know. Qatar Visa Centers (QVC), working under the Ministry of Interior, Qatar, continue to provide visa-related services for overseas workers. These centers handle only the administrative parts of the visa process and follow official rules set by Qatar’s government.

The QVC process includes facial image capture, iris and fingerprint scans, and full medical checks like X-rays, blood tests, vaccinations, and doctor consultations. All steps are done as per Qatar’s official health and visa guidelines. Officials have warned the public about common scams. No one needs to pay for a QVC appointment. Employers pay the visa fee, and appointments must only be booked through the official website www.qatarvisacenter.com using your Visa Reference Number (VRN). Lounge or VIP service is available at a small cost but does not guarantee a visa.

QVC staff do not influence visa approval or medical results. These decisions are made only by Qatar’s Ministry of Health. QVC is not a job provider, and people should avoid anyone offering fake job offers in exchange for money. Applicants are also warned not to share personal information like VRN or passport numbers through phone calls, WhatsApp, or social media. All official communication comes through secure channels.

Sometimes, applicants may be called for further medical tests, such as repeat X-rays or lab tests. These referrals are based on health rules from Qatar and must be followed exactly.
