5G Technology to be Introduced in Pakistan on this Date

The Caretaker Minister of ITT, DR. Umar Saif announced the date of launch of 5G in Pakistan. Dr Saif also highlighted the potential of Pakistan to do exports of IT in the Middle East.

He stated that Pakistan has signed MoUs with 3 Qatari companies. This is going to be extremely beneficial for Pakistan and would increase the growth of the IT sector.

Moreover, he also stated the official launch of the 5G technology in Pakistan. Dr Saif stated that 5G is scheduled to launch in Pakistan in July 2024.

He stated that proper measures are being taken to allocate the 300MHz spectrum for the 5G services.

Dr Saif stated that the government is still out the problems that may be faced in the future and can be an obstacle for this project.

Moreover, he stated that he would establish a Telecommunication Tribunal within 3 weeks to tackle the issues faced by the telecommunication sector. 

The government is also in search of an expert consultant to provide insights on  the project. He also encouraged women to participate in decision making as it’s important for women entrepreneurs to rise up.
