The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has launched a cutting-edge driving simulator at its driving school, marking it as the first in the country to adopt such advanced technology.
The simulator features gears, a clutch, an accelerator, a steering wheel, and brakes, offering students a realistic driving experience that simulates being behind the wheel of an actual vehicle.
This initiative, led by City Traffic Officer (CTO) Beenish Fatima, aims to revolutionize driving education through modern technology. The simulator provides a safe environment for novice drivers to practice, helping them prepare for real-world challenges, including emergency situations. It also emphasizes the importance of adhering to traffic laws and enhancing driving proficiency.
During her visit to the driving school, the CTO tested the simulator and instructed staff to ensure learners receive thorough and effective training. She highlighted the initiative’s role in reducing traffic accidents, improving road safety, and equipping drivers to meet international standards.
A CTP spokesperson noted that this advanced training program is a major step forward in promoting safe driving practices and encouraging compliance with traffic regulations. By adopting innovative training methods, the initiative aims to significantly enhance road safety in Rawalpindi and set a benchmark for driving education in the country.
