The Minister of IT & T, Dr. Umair Saif stated that the official launch of 5G was supposed to be auctioned in July 2024 initially and tentatively.

The initial auction which is said to be of $1 billion with the collaboration of Special Investment & Facilitation Council (SIFC) which will be a catalyst in each advancements in the country as well.
Three targeted key sectors in Pakistan will be agricultural, educational, and healthcare as they will be boosted by the 5G project.
Furthermore, the telecommunication industry will greatly benefit from this as well, as $1 to $10 Billion in funding can be obtained via telecommunication.
