Due to strong winds and thunderstorms in upper regions and snowfall in mountainous areas, travelers and tourists are advised to plan their journeys according to weather conditions, especially in hilly areas.
According to the forecast, most areas are expected to remain dry on Monday, while cold weather will continue in the hilly regions. Smog has also persisted across several districts of Punjab due to dry conditions. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the weather pattern is likely to change as upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are expected to see cloudy skies along with strong winds and thunderstorms.
Snowfall is also forecast in mountainous areas, and a few places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, and the Pothohar region may experience hail. Central and southern parts of the country are likely to remain dry. During the last 24 hours, most regions remained dry, though cold weather continued in the northern hilly areas. Mithi recorded 22 mm of rainfall, while smog continued to affect major parts of Punjab.
Minimum temperatures dropped to minus three degrees Celsius in Leh, minus two in Skardu, and zero degrees in Babusar and Ziarat, reflecting rising winter intensity in the northern belt. For Islamabad, the forecast indicates dry and cold conditions on Monday night. However, by Tuesday, the federal capital and nearby areas may see strong winds, thunderstorms, and chances of hail in some locations.
