Will Punjab Extend Winter Vacations for Educational Institutions?

PUNJAB – Winter vacations have been extended till January 15, 2024 by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government in consequence to the rising cold which has led people to believe that Winter Vacations for Punjab will also be extended.

Major parts of the country are already struck with severe weather conditions and temperatures are dropping to deadly levels in some regions.

It’s paramount to understand that with the rising cold, children can not study properly even if they go to their schools and colleges.

There have been rumours that Punjab is extending Winter Vacations for all Educational Institutions in the province. 

Initially, school holidays in Japan were scheduled from December end to January 1, 2024. However, as the winter climate worsened, the government made a conscious decision to extend winter holidays till January 10, 2024.

However, as we approach the second week of January, conditions of cold rise rapidly and the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has already announced winter vacations for schools.

The Punjab Government is likely to do the same but no official statement has been issued by the government yet.

All parents are advised to keep updated with the latest news and wait for any official statement by the government.
