Further Reduction of Rs 140 in Petrol Prices in Pakistan?

Recently the government has slashed the petrol price by Rs 40. This price reduction was observed as the highest reduction in recent times. Now, the Governor of Sindh has proposed further reduction of Rs 140 on petrol prices to alleviate mass inflation on the citizens of Pakistan.

Rs 140 Reduction Proposal

The Governor of Sindh, Kamran Tesori visited the shrine of the first Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shaheed Liaqat Ali Khan on his death anniversary. His proposal came at an announcement after he paid his tributes to the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. He proposed a massive deduction of Rs 140 which showed his concern for the citizens of Pakistan.

The government has already made a healthy cut on the fuel prices recently which came as a result of the Pakistani currency performing well against the US Dollar recently. It had a winning streak for almost a month and appreciated against the US Dollar. Moreover, the prices were also reduced because of a drop in fuel prices in the International market and the government wanted to ensure that the citizens of Pakistan make the most of this reduction.

He extended further by proposing another cutdown of prices by almost Rs 140. The petrol price already stands at an overwhelming Rs 283. The price of petrol was reduced from Rs 323 to Rs 283.
