ISLAMABAD – National Seismic Center stated that an earthquake jolted several parts of the country including the Federal Capital Islamabad.
According to sources at the National Seismic Center, the Richter scale read an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 with a depth of 133 km.
The epicentre of the quake was estimated to be 100 km east of Doda in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. The aftershocks may still be in effect.
Citizens in affected areas immediately took to the streets as a 5.1 magnitude earthquake shook major cities of the country. Experts suggest that aftershocks may follow.

The tremors of the quake were felt across the country and evacuations started right at the first tremor. Office and residential areas alike evacuated to safety.
As of now, no loss of life has been reported and the damage to the parts of the country including the federal capital is still unknown.
