LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has been continuing their operations against illegal encroachments of illegal commercial land by brands.
LDA officials have been sending letters to the owners but after no response was seen from the owners the officials had no choice but to seal the stores.
The authority sealed down 26 famous eating places and bakeries in Khayaban-e-Firdousi Lahore’s Johar Town over non-payment of commercialization fee.
Lahore Development Authority has closed down 26 famous places which garnered a lot of customers from Lahore. The sealed places include Baithak Khas, Burger Mart, Café Da Bela, Café Dosti, California Pizza, Cheese Factor, Chai Chaubara, Chai Dosti, Chai Khas, Chai Zindagi, Dayers’ Café, Dunba Shinwari, Fankariyan Broast, Farooq Caterers, Ilyas Dunba, Kaka Bhaiya, Khan Shinwari, Long Ilaichi, Sheegay Da Food Villa, Showbiz Café, Social Scare, Test Café, and the famous What A Paratha.

The operation was carried out by the Chief Town Planner of LDA, Athar Ali. Athar was accompanied by enforcements from Police during the entire operation.
Officials at LDA state that the action may not have been taken if the notices they served to the owners had a response.
Authorities also state that LDA will continue these operations for the betterment of the society and such actions will be taken against individuals or institutions that violate the building bylaws.
