Easy Installment Plans Scheme for Mobiles to Launch Next Week by IT Ministry

The Ministry of Information and Telecommunication Technology is all set to launch the much-awaited Installment plans Scheme for Mobile phones from January 12, 2024.

In a recent announcement, Dr. Umar Saif, the IT&T Minister, states that one of the telecom companies is also set to offer Apple phones on easy installment plans.

The move has been going on for some time in accordance with PTA and Telecom giants in Pakistan, finally the scheme will launch from January 12, 2024.

Dr. Umar stated that the main objective of this initiative is to ensure that the downtrodden of Pakistan also have access to smartphones as they cannot afford to pay a lump sum amount for it.

Furthermore, he stated that this initiative is set to create financial responsibility among individuals and benefit both the companies and the citizens of Pakistan.

Moreover, if an individual fails to pay their installments, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority is all set to block the applicant’s phone using the DIRBS.

Additionally, Dr. Umar Saif also stated that 5G is also set to launch in Pakistan from July next year with the auction of the 300 MHz spectrum. Pakistan is also set to connect cables with the marine cable to expand their Internet horizons and provide Internet to certain countries.

Moreover, the Minister states that 3,000 e-rozgar centres will be established in Pakistan to facilitate the freelancers as more than 1.5 million of them lack the necessary resources and workspaces to manage their work properly.
