LAHORE – The Arms License and Management System has been launched by the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi.
According to sources, the new arms license management system will allow individuals to transfer arms and to renew their license online using the web.
Details suggest that this agreement has been signed by the collaboration of the Ministry of Interior and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

This new initiative will stop the spread of corruption and of fake licenses being issued and shown as proof for carrying firearms across the province.
Due to the rise of fake licenses and criminal activities, the Sindh CM had also banned the arms licenses in the province.
This happened after a case of fake licenses went to the supreme court upon which the Apex court issued notices to the Advocate General and the Attorney General seeking reports.
During the hearing of an arms theft case, the issue of fake arms licenses came to light which made the CM Sindh take the decision of banning firearm licenses.
