LAHORE – As the harsh winter approaches and we enter mid-December, Punjab changes uniform policy amidst the rising cold.
In the new policy, the Punjab government has stated that students can now wear jackets and sweaters of any colour on top of their uniform as many unfortunate parents are not financially strong enough to purchase matching uppers and blazers for their children.
The notification has been issued and a copy of the notification has been sent to all schools that no student should be restricted if he or she wears a casual jacket or sweater to combat the increasing chilling weather.

The changes in Uniform policy are made for the month of January and February. Prior to this, students were advised to follow the school dress code and not wear casual clothing.
A lot of positive feedback was received by the Punjab government from parents and teachers alike. The new policy relieves unfortunate parents and students can comfortably study and protect themselves from the harsh weather.
As of now, the schools in Punjab, KP, and Sindh are closed due to the ongoing winter vacations and are scheduled to reopen from January 2024.
