Karachi – In a recent development, the Sindh Education Minister has announced the winter holidays for Karachi. The news came as a relief after the winter season worsens making it challenging for the students alongside the staff to attend the school.
The announcement came as a relief for students and teachers alike. Effective from December, both private and government schools are announced to be closed from December 22nd to December 31st.

A sub-committee headed by the Education Minister came to this decision. The official announcement has been made and the winter holidays will commence from December 22nd to December 31st. Schools will reopen on January 1st, 2024 and colleges will start their year from August 1, 2024. This will provide a smooth transition for the students alongside the staff.
The announcement of holidays showed the concern of the Sindh government for the safety and security of the students and staff. The examination schedule was also discussed in the meeting and it was decided that the matriculation exams will start in the first week of May while the intermediate examinations will be held in the last week of May.
